Flandre was right: the houses all look the same and it's rather dull. She's used to living somewhere that stands out from the rest of the world, so it was time to make this place a little more like home!

[ Meiling is just picking up a 'few' supplies for her home landscaping projects. Hoes, spades, buckets, etc. You would think she couldn't carry this all by herself, but she's stronger than she looks. Just... don't be behind her when she turns around or you just might get a face full of a shovel or a rake!

[ In front of the house, Meiling is busy laying some stone for a new pathway, boxes for flowers, new wooden borders for the bushes, and in general working hard at tearing up the yard. (She already napped at work, hence all the energy!) She's wearing a pair of overalls, heavy gloves, a plaid shirt, and enough dirt to need three showers later.

Bother her? Help out? She'll be at this for a few days. Weekend taggers have the added chance of catching her taking a rest at midday~ ]

I'm a soldier but I'd definitely prefer to spend my time gardening.

I wish. No one has ever heard of the plant around here so I have to stick with whatever they have here.

Oh. [ Deflated. ] The teas they have here aren't at all like what I'm used to, but I guess not everyone can afford the kind of imports the Mistress preferred to stock. [ A sigh. ]

Who knows, maybe it'll come to me one day. At least they have recaf in the meantime.

Oh, right. Coffee. That's what they call it around here.

Mm, okay! [ Now she gets it. ] Coffee's not so bad, but I have to be careful with it because it can ruin an otherwise healthy sleep regimen. [ Yama help her if she is too awake to siesta. ]

I live on the stuff so I guess I gave up on healthy sleep a hundred years ago.

[ Getting up on her tiptoes to get a better look at him. This, of course, also means violating his personal space a bit -- along with everything she's carrying. ] You're that old? Wow! Are you a youkai, too?!

Can't say I've heard of the term. But I'm very human and pushing two hundred years old.

No, I'm not into sorcery at all. I mean, I'm a little older than most but then again, I don't live on Cadia. I'm still in the prime of my life though and plenty are older than me.

[ Still on her toes. This was cake! But now she tilts her head. ] So you're from a tribe of long-lived humans? That's so cool! I thought only youkai and other demons could manage that without having some kind of weird immortality pact or other circumstances prolonging their life.

I've killed a couple daemons and more than enough of their spawn in my life but I've never heard of a human dying of old age before they were two hundred years old. Though, I shouldn't say that since there are more humans than we have numbers.
